The DOL reported:
Within the week ending October 12, the advance determine for seasonally adjusted preliminary claims was 241,000, a lower of
19,000 from the earlier week’s revised stage. The earlier week’s stage was revised up by 2,000 from 258,000 to
260,000. The 4-week shifting common was 236,250, a rise of 4,750 from the earlier week’s revised common. The
earlier week’s common was revised up by 500 from 231,000 to 231,500.
