The DOL reported:
Within the week ending October 5, the advance determine for seasonally adjusted preliminary claims was 258,000, a rise of
33,000 from the earlier week’s unrevised degree of 225,000. That is the best degree for preliminary claims since August 5,
2023 when it was 258,000. The 4-week transferring common was 231,000, a rise of 6,750 from the earlier week’s
unrevised common of 224,250.
