NetJets Labor Relations Quickly Deteriorating Executives Deal with Retribution

Labor relations at Columbus-based fractional air service NetJets are quickly deteriorating, stories the NetJets Affiliation of Shared Plane Pilots (NJASAP). This unbiased union represents over 3,400 pilots flying for NetJets Aviation, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway firm. NetJets executives seem extra centered on demanding retribution than embracing our peace providing.

The Union accused the corporate of reaching a brand new low earlier this week by focusing on an elected NJASAP official for a disciplinary investigation over lawful union picketing, delving into inside union issues. The Union sees this as an act of retaliation and intimidation. This comes shortly after each events signed a five-year collective bargaining settlement following a contentious labor dispute, throughout which NJASAP members lawfully engaged in informational picketing and demonstrations to attract public consideration to the battle.

“Even in the best of circumstances, collective bargaining can prove a very fraught moment, but negotiations are now behind us,” NJASAP President Capt. Pedro Leroux stated, emphasizing the events must be working collectively to place the Fractional for even higher issues. “It is time to put emotion aside and to pour our focus into capitalizing on the unprecedented demand for our product.” He continued, “Regrettably, management seems more interested in exacting a pound of flesh than accepting the olive branch we have extended on several occasions in recent months.”  

Throughout a three-hour assembly this previous Tuesday morning, NJASAP Vice President Capt. Paulette Gilbert, a 23-year NetJets worker with an unblemished skilled report, was interrogated and repeatedly requested for particulars about numerous issues, together with the Union’s lawful and guarded actions carried out by the Union’s technique group. The NJASAP Govt Board views this as a direct assault on the Union, its members and elected officers. “We will not allow this effort to bully and to intimidate Union leaders to go unanswered,” Leroux stated. 

“As the Union Vice President, Paulette’s advocacy was essential to our effort to secure a $1.6B increase in the value of our contract,” Leroux stated. “We will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our colleague.”
