Adam Azim appears to advance his profession in opposition to Sergey Lipinets this Saturday, stay on Sky Sports activities.
Lipinets would be the first former world champion that Azim has boxed, and the rising star from Slough intends to show that be belongs within the prime flight of the super-lightweight division after they conflict on the OVO Enviornment Wembley this weekend.
Azim is frequently in comparison with rival Briton Dalton Smith, who knocked out Walid Ouizza in a spherical final Saturday to win the European title beforehand held by Azim.
Decided to make a press release this Saturday, Azim insists {that a} victory over Lipinets could be higher than any win Smith has had to date in his profession.
“Most definitely,” Azim instructed Sky Sports activities. “You have bought [Jose] Zepeda there however Sergey Lipinets has been in with higher opposition than Zepeda [a previous world title challenger whom Smith knocked out last year].
“When I do beat Lipinets then I’ll be like look my level’s above you Dalton.”
Whereas Azim recommended Smith’s efficiency in opposition to Ouizza, he didn’t price the opponent.
“The majority of people don’t know who he was,” Azim stated of the Frenchman. “When you look at that it was like one of the fighters I fought, Anthony Loffet [whom Azim boxed in his fifth pro bout], he was on that level. I had to search out who he was. No one knew who he was.
“However look he [Smith] bought the job carried out. I believed he boxed rather well the primary spherical, cannot actually get nothing from that however it’s good as a result of it retains [our] battle marinating.”
Azim versus Smith stays a subject of dialog. “Everyone’s talking about me straight after the fight. Dalton wasn’t talking much about me but I think the people around him were. At least they’re talking about me, it’s a bit like I’m living in their heads rent free so it’s good,” Azim stated.
“I think it’s in his team’s head. Dalton really doesn’t say much but it would be nice if he does because I don’t fear any fight. When I do fight him, then we’ll see what happens. I’m not really phased if anyone’s there talking about me because I’ve got a job to do on Saturday and my main focus is just focusing on Saturday then I can start talking.
“Nearly all of the time persons are speaking about me as a substitute of him however that is factor as a result of it is publicity for me,” he added.
“However I feel after this battle then we will most likely discuss him.”
Azim desires to stay lively in 2025 and intends to have two extra fights after Lipinets.
“I leave that till after the fight’s done but hopefully if it’s not April then May or June time [for the next fight]. It could be June, then I could fight again in October,” he stated.
“Three times would be ideal for this year.”
